Directions

There are many ways to get to Provincetown. See a few options below to determine what’s best for you.

By Car

Provincetown is located at the tip of Cape Cod, Massachusetts, 116 miles from Boston. It usually takes a little over 2 hours by car, depending on traffic. Our street address is 174 Commercial Street and we are located at the corner of Commercial and Winthrop Street. We recommend that you avoid driving on Commercial Street as it is often crowded with pedestrians during the summer months. Instead, stay on Route 6 until you hit Shank Painter Road and turn left (the sign reads to Route 6A). After you pass Stop & Shop and the Police Station, Shank Painter will end at Bradford St. Turn left onto Bradford, and then make the first right onto Winthrop St. You will see the Brasswood Inn on the left at the end of the block, just before Commercial St. We have assigned parking on-site and down the street from the inn located at our sister property, 16 Winthrop.

By Fast Ferry

There are two ferry companies that offer 90-minute ferries from Boston to Provincetown’s MacMillan Pier, which is a 10-15 minute walk to our inn. Each company has varying schedules from May to October. If you visit frequently, they offer seasonal passes at a discounted rate. The two companies are:

By Plane

If you are flying from out of state, we recommend flying to the Boston Logan Airport (BOS). Cape Air offers direct flights from Boston and other select airports to the Provincetown Municipal Airport (PVC), which is less than a ten minute drive (~4 miles) from our inn. To look at their flights, visit the Cape Air website.

By Bus

Peter Pan Bus Service and other bus services offer rides from all over to Provincetown. You can find the bus stop right at MacMillan Pier in the center of town.
