Our Response to COVID-19


Note: The Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires travelers from out of state who do not meet an exemption to quarantine for 14 days or produce a negative COVID-19 test result that has been administered up to 72-hours prior to your arrival or be subject to a daily fine. Exemptions include travelers from the following states: California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington, and Washington D.C. During this unprecedented time, when the world has come together to practice social distancing and temporarily change life as we’ve known it, our focus is on the health of our guests, as well as our staff. Per the Office of Governor Charlie Baker and Lt. Governor Karyn Polito, we are excited to safely host you this summer season!


Although the City of Provincetown has postponed or canceled some of the large theme weeks, what isn't canceled are the glistening streets filled with lively locals, restaurants, harbor beaches, and the sunshine we have all been waiting to bask in. In the words of Provincetown Tourism Director Anthony Fuccillo, “Summer isn’t canceled. It will be a different summer, and it will be amazing.When you come to the White Wind Inn, a seat on the porch will be waiting for you.

Safety Standards


For our guests, in addition to upholding the high sanitation standards our guests are accustomed to, we have now doubled our efforts to meet or exceed CDC guidelines. We wish to host you in a home where you can rest assured that your health and safety is taken seriously by all of our staff. Some of these efforts include:

  • Thoroughly disinfecting every surface in the room, including handles, keys, doorknobs, light switches, faucets, tables and desks, buttons & remote controls before and after each reservation.

  • Thoroughly disinfecting every surface in common areas, multiple times per day, including door knobs, handles and other high-touch surfaces.

  • Providing contactless check-in and check-out.

  • Providing hand-sanitizer stations at each entrance to the Inn. 

  • Masks are required of guests inside the common rooms at all times. Masks are not required in our outdoor common spaces as long as social distancing is observed.

  • Masks will be worn by staff at all times when working inside the Inn.

  • Breakfast is prepared by our ServSafe certified staff who follow strict hygienic protocols and procedures to maintain complete sanitation.

Updates to Amenities


To ensure the safety of our guests and our staff, we are changing some guest amenities based on the lodging guidelines provided by the state:

  • To maintain the safety of your space, we are temporarily suspending daily housekeeping. Fresh towels may be requested as needed.

  • Breakfast will be delivered to your room or available to pick up in the common room at scheduled times to avoid crowding in the common spaces. Guests will order off a menu and can choose to eat inside their room, in the living room or on our front porch, back patio or side patio.

  • We have redesigned our outdoor and indoor seating areas to accommodate social distancing. While the kitchen is unavailable, there is plenty of gathering space for guests to enjoy.
